How to use the meditations
1. Find a quiet place where you will not be disturbed.
2. Read through the whole meditation a few times, then put it down.
3. Sit in a position both comfortable and alert.
4. Allow the meditation 10 minutes or so in your imagination. Do not give up before this time; stay with it.
5. Allow another 10 minutes for recording what happened. Allow events to develop as you record. |

MEDITATION 3
THE ROOM OF YOUR SOUL
Have you ever approached a mysterious room?
Imagine
You find a strange staircase down into the earth, and decide to follow it, to see where it leads.
You seem to be leaving everything behind as you go down. Possessions... people... comforts... prospects. How do you feel as you go down?
You follow the steps until you reach the bottom.
You are now faced by a closed door, which you decide to open.
Inside is a simple cave and you understand it is the room of your soul, with a bench, an open fire and a candle.
The fire symbolises your inner state.
You sit on the bench and look at the fire.
How does it look? How does it burn?
The candle behind you is something about hope.
And is there some writing on the wall? Can you read it?
Is there anyone else in the cave?
Someone comes in. Who is it?
Are they welcome? What happens?
In time, you leave the room of your soul, and start back up the stairs...
