the one minute mystic
How to use the meditations

1. Find a quiet place where you will not be disturbed.

2. Read through the whole meditation a few times, then put it down.

3. Sit in a position both comfortable and alert.

4. Allow the meditation 10 minutes or so in your imagination. Do not give up before this time; stay with it.

5. Allow another 10 minutes for recording what happened. Allow events to develop as you record.
  MEDITATION 13
TAKE YOUR PICK

Some lists are more important than others.

Below is a list, courtesy of AH Almaas.

It is a list of 31 splendid virtues.

It is a store cupboard of everything you shall need today.

Consider the virtues; gaze on them well, and then gaze again:

Empathy, clarity, discernment, intelligence,
Stillness, will, steadfastness, commitment,
Spontaneity, gentleness, subtlety, openness,
Curiosity, enjoyment, balance, courage,
Justice, depth, precision, objectivity,
Capacity, spaciousness, detachment,
Accuracy, initiative, passion, fulfilment,
Contentment, nourishment, generosity, identity.

Imagine

Imagine you are an adventurer.

You look ahead to as much of the day as you know.

What lies ahead for you?

What dragons? What challenges? What needs?

From the store cupboard of virtues above, you can choose five, and take them into the day.

Which will you take?

And how might you use them?
