The Hermitage

Seaford, East Sussex

The Hermitage

Would you like to get away for a day or two and breathe some sea air? Do you need space to think and reflect on your life? Then maybe The Hermitage is for you.

Set in Seaford, on England’s south coast, The Hermitage is a 12 minute walk from the white cliffs and the sea. And a 20 minute walk from the stunning views of the South Downs Way, taking you to Cuckmere Gap and the Seven Sisters.

The Hermitage

It’s a self-contained space with a double bed, bathroom with shower, simple cooking facilities, comfortable chairs and writing table.

The Hermitage is a self-catering booking, though basics are provided, such as milk, bread, coffee, etc.

Seaford has its own station and is about 1 hour 40 minutes from London Victoria. There’s also ample parking space.

It’s close to the historic town of Lewes, the beautiful village of Alfriston (very good for teas) and the energetic seaside metropolis of Brighton.

It’s also close to itself and its own long history as a cinque port, much ravaged by the French in the 14th century, though relationships are a little better now.

‘It’s a town by the sea, rather than a seaside town,’ as one local put it.

Should you wish to include a meeting with Simon during your stay, this is possible.
